| Volkswagen Prague Marathon is one of the most international marathons in the world, which attracts over 10 000 runners from 114 countries. This world class event was launched in 1995 under the patronage of the legendary Olympic Champion Emil Zátopek. The flat and fast marathon course starting at the famous Old Town Square and crossing the magnificent Charles Bridge is truly splendid. 8th of May 2016 is the date of the 22nd edition of the marathon, as well as the launch of another innovative event.
